June is the month that feels like summer has truly arrived! We had our first family beach trip that was just the four of us and it was so fun! We went to Bethany Beach in Delaware (which is where we have been going ever since Eric and I got married!) and we love it there. The kids are at a fun age to really enjoy the beach, the waves, and sleeping in new environments. This month has been all about highlighting more of my beach favorites and summer finds to help keep you cool! If you want to see even more of my travel must-haves, don’t miss my Travel Essentials for Toddlers & Babies blog post.
Keep reading to see my favorite finds for women, kids, and our home that we loved this month!
Favorite Finds from June 2024
Midea U-Shaped Air Conditioner
I am sharing all of the praises for this new u-shaped air conditioner that we got for our fourth floor attic bedroom in our city home! It is SO quiet - it sounds as loud as a small fan since the condenser unit is outside of the window rather than sitting directly under the window. It comes in several sizes and all are on sale right now.
Freesip Water Bottle
I’ve had this Avana water bottle for years and it’s one of my favorites - I love the “freesip” design that has a built-in straw and lets you either sip on the straw or tip and pour like a standard water bottle. I’ve had such a hard time finding this bottle again - come to find out they are owned by the same parent company as Owala and they are now using the same freesip technology in their water bottles! So while I don’t have the Owala version, it’s practically the exact same design and it’s so great to throw into your bag and you don’t have to worry about any leaks on the way to the beach.
Hot Pink One-Piece Swimsuit
I bought this hot pink swimsuit off Amazon on a whim and it’s one of the BEST swimsuits you can find for only $30! I love the high neck line, the full booty coverage, and the tummy control. The fabric is thick and high-quality and it comes in lots of color and style options.
Beach Puddle Baby Pool
We love this beach puddle baby pool SO much! Actually, calling it a baby pool is a bit of a disservice because my toddlers get so much use out of it - and probably will for years to come! My two-year-old did lots of water and sand play at the beach this year with our beach puddle - she was not a big fan of the waves at the ocean. We always set up the beach puddle in the sunshine so the water can get warm and then we will add an umbrella when the kids need to be able to play in some shade. One of the best features is that the carrier doubles as a bucket for hauling the water from the ocean into the pool.
Parker Baby Co. Crossbody Belt Bag
If you don’t have a crossbody belt bag yet, you’re missing out - and this is one of the best. I love all things Parker Baby Co. and this belt bag is perfect to carry a diaper or two, or stuff it with your essentials. It was perfect for carrying my van keys, sunglasses holder, small wallet, chapstick, etc. when walking from the car to the beach for the day.
Linen Seat Cover
I love love love my leather seats in my minivan, most especially in the winter, but the hot and sticky seats in the summer? Not a fan. I’ve been on the lookout for some quality and classy seat covers that can help me keep from sticking to the seats when it’s so hot. These aren’t exactly the cheapest seat covers, but they are so classy, amazing quality, and will last for years to come!
Portable Blackout Curtains
This is another travel must-have if you are traveling with littles (or honestly, even if you don’t have littles but you like your rooms to be super dark!). These portable blackout curtains have both suction cups and velcro so you can stick them to any window and the velcro allows you to size the curtains however you need them. I have two of them now and they are perfect for helping the kids to sleep in a darker room and not wake up crazy early when we are on vacation.
Oversized Striped Sweatshirt
This is one of my favorite finds of the summer! I love the retro vibe and this “rose red” color is so fun. I went a size up and got the XL to truly give it that oversized feel. Love it for the cool summer nights and makes me feel like I am always on vacation.
Dawn Powerwash Free & Clear
Powerwash is a must-have household item if you have little kids and crayons. I’ve been washing so many walls in our rental house recently and love the Dawn Powerwash Free & Clear - mostly because it’s such a pleasant and refreshing light smell, but also because it’s color-free and makes washing crayons and pens off the walls so easy.
Rainbow Stripes Play Dress
I picked up this fun play dress for my two-year-old for only $6! Walmart has some great play dresses for girls - plus, it has pockets! Several different colors and patterns available in sizes up to 5T.
Portable Fan with Flexible Legs
A stroller fan is a must-have for a day at the beach! I love that I can wrap it around the umbrella, beach chair or a wagon or cart.
Wonder Wheeler Beach Cart
I am always so thankful that we invested in this beach cart last year! It makes our trips from the car to the beach so much easier with toddlers and all of our stuff - even when it’s loaded down, it’s easier for my husband to drag our stuff to the beach while I take the walk with the kiddos.
