I love giving gifts.
I absolutely LOVE giving gifts and I am quite certain that it is my main love language. I’ve always been told that I am good at giving gifts. Receiving gifts is also nice, as long as they are intentional, but I don’t get nearly as much joy from receiving as I do from giving. So this holiday season, I’ve decided to branch out and recommend some of my absolute favorite gifts that I have given over the years… as well as the ones that I have received and love. It is my hope that you can find some gift ideas within this list that might bring some great comfort or joy to someone that you love and care for this Christmas!
GIFT IDEAS FOR HIM
The gifts that I’m suggesting for guys for Christmas are really curated directly from items that I have given my husband over the past few years or have been sourced based on his suggestions of what he would love this year. It’s quite possible that he may even see a few of these show up under our Christmas tree or in his stocking this holiday season!
CLOTHING
During the holiday season, I am always thinking about comfy clothes - not just for myself, but also for my man! I’ve added this True Grit sherpa pullover because i have one that is super fuzzy, cozy and comfy, but that’s not quite my husband’s style. I think these bonded polar fleece looks much more his style and is a great price on Amazon right now! Keeping with the comfy theme, I almost always get sweatpants and/or slippers for my husband each year. Other great warm clothing options are fleece-lined jeans or pants and thermal underwear. My husband also loves bomber jackets and hats and I’ve listed a few that he loves and recommends.

FOOTWEAR
Since my husband grew up in South Africa, he never really had a need for winter boots. It was a few years after we were married that I finally decided to get him a quality pair, and we love these Sperry winter boots. This year, my husband suggested a pair of slippers with a hard sole that would be good house shoes that could also take a quick trip outdoors. As far as shoes, my husband is a big fan of smart-casual sneakers that he can dress up or down depending on his outfit, and both the Vans brand and TOMS brand are two of his favorites and will always be a good gift option!

SELF-CARE
Many of these self-care items for men would make great stocking stuffer options, but they would also be a good smaller gift item for a guy if needed for a gift exchange. I found the Cremo brand several years ago when they had women’s shaving cream available in Target and was so excited when I found their line of men’s products! The mint beard & face wash smells so heavenly and I always find myself wanting to sniff my husband’s face whenever he uses it. 😂 This year, I might consider getting my husband some of their face and body wipes, which I think would be great for him to have stocked in his office or backpack for times when he gets a bit extra sweaty and needs a quick refresh. The rest of the products are some of my husband’s favorite brands for face lotion and hair products - as well as my favorite deodorant for him ‘cuz I love how it smells. I was super excited when I found out Quip was releasing an all-black toothbrush because it seemed like the absolute perfect option for my husband inner-emo self and now we’re both on the Quip train. And finally, a nice toiletry bag to store all of these new gifts and some great neutral options for face masks.

SKATER BOY
I feel like this section is super hilarious, but nevertheless, my husband has decided that skateboarding is his new hobby and isn’t going anywhere any time soon. He recently got the new Tony Hawk game and bought himself a used skateboard. If I were to get him an upgraded skateboard, I would grab this one by Element for him. I also made sure to link some skateboarding shoes, a quality beanie, and of course - a helmet. 😅 (Because seriously, a man in his 30’s trying skateboarding again, probably needs some extra safety gear!) I also added a Tech Deck that I think would be a great stocking stuffer or gift exchange option for the skater boy in your life - it’s slightly humorous, but also just super fun and would be great for my husband to have at his desk at work.

ENTERTAINMENT
I have mentioned multiple times this year to my husband that I think we need a higher quality turntable for our vinyl albums. And if your man also loves records, consider getting him a copy of one of his favorite bands or specific albums as a gift. When my husband saw that you could grab some vintage original Nintendo NES on Amazon, he told me to make sure it was on his gift list this year. I also recently got my husband some Apple AirPods, which made me think that now I need to consider getting him a case cover in hopes that he won’t lose the AirPods too quickly.

FOOD & DRINK
My husband LOVES to cook and grilling has been a big thing for us this year. We got this charcoal grill as a gift for Christmas a few years ago and my husband said it’s always a good gift to get some quality charcoal and wood chips for smoking in the grill. We also need some new kitchen knives and I really love these ceramic-coated knives. Usually I can only find them in bright colors, so I’m excited to see them in gray tones this year! And this lunch cooler bag by Carhartt is something that I purchased just recently for my husband to use for taking meals to work. Basic with quality is always a good option for guys and this cooler bag does not disappoint! You also can’t go wrong with a sturdy coffee travel mug and we love this Stanley Travel Mug in black so much that we got two of them for my husband.

ACCESSORIES
There was a period of time where almost every birthday and holiday, I was getting my husband some sort of watch or watch accessory as a gift. We love our Apple Watches and I think he would really like this all-black version. As a wedding gift when we got married, I surprised my husband with this gold calculator watch (that I thought was ridiculous, but I knew he would love) and he still wears it on the regular! If your guy needs a new wallet, I highly recommend this Herschel wallet, which is super high quality. They have lots of colors and options for styles. When I asked my husband what else should be included on this gift guide list for men, he said it is always a good idea to get nice tie clips - something that not all guys would think about asking for, but is great to have on hand for special occasions.

TOOLS
I love having battery-powered tools on hand. It makes it so convenient for quick projects and while I got a different brand for my husband, this DeWalt brand cordless drill is currently a great deal on Amazon and is what I would pick out if I were buying this season! Two items that I very well might make sure that my husband has in his stocking this year would be a multi-tool and a multi-tool that will fit in his wallet (he specifically requested this one!).

SPORTS & LEISURE
My husband is a big fan of soccer (more popularly known as football or futbol around the rest of the world) and a quality soccer ball is always a good gift for him, but I think you could get any ball or gear based on your man’s favorite sport. Along those same lines, my husband said that a nice quality sports jersey is always a safe bet as a gift for guys! He suggested the Mitchell & Ness brand, which has a huge variety of sports and teams available online. My husband sent me a Phillies shirt, Eagles shirt, and Orioles shirt as options that he would to receive this year. I think these Letterfolk Passport Journals are a great small gift or stocking stuffer option to highlight a hobby or interest in an intentional way. They have so many different passport journals, which I think are all so fun!

READING
My husband is a major book lover. And people are always asking him for his opinion on books to read. So I wanted to share some of my husband’s favorites, alongside of some new releases from some of his favorite authors! And of course, books are not necessarily gender-specific, so some of these reads would also be great gifts for women, too!
