these are a few of my favorite things...
I absolutely LOVE giving gifts and I am quite certain that it is my main love language. I’ve always been told that I am good at giving gifts. Receiving gifts is also nice, as long as they are intentional, but I don’t get nearly as much joy from receiving as I do from giving. So this holiday season, I’ve decided to branch out and recommend some of my absolute favorite gifts that I have given over the years… as well as the ones that I have received and love. It is my hope that you can find some gift ideas within this list that might bring some great comfort or joy to someone that you love and care for this Christmas!
GIFT IDEAS FOR HER
The gifts that I’m suggesting for ladies for Christmas are really curated directly from items that I have and love or items that are on my personal wishlist. You’ll see several items tagged with a red heart - that just means that it is something that I am extra excited about and is on my personal wishlist this holiday season!
CLOTHING
During the holiday season, I am always thinking about comfy clothes - cold weather makes me want to be extra cozy! I’ve added this True Grit sherpa pullover because it is super fuzzy, cozy and comfy and is something that would make an incredible gift for any mom, grandma, or teen - it’s so versatile! I’ve also included some of my favorite pairs of leggings, or some great jogger sweatpants or a set of pajamas that I think would be so cozy. If you’ve never tried “built-in warm” jeans or pants (or fleece-lined), you’re missing out and need to grab a pair! You’ll also find a few of my current favorite shirts and sweatshirts that I can’t live without. And finally, I added a great winter parka coat that I grabbed last year and think would be a great gift at Christmas time.

FOOTWEAR
I wear slippers so frequently through the winter that it’s no wonder I need to add a new pair to my Christmas list every couple of years! I also included two of my favorite pairs of boots - the Sperry saltwater boots and my Chelsea rain boots from Target. And finally, I just recently entered the Vans family this summer with a pair of sneakers, so the next thing up on my list is a neutral pair of slip-on shoes. When I recently visited Chicago for a girl’s trip, I found these incredible sneakers in a Nordstrom Rack and tried them on a whim and my feet immediately said they needed to come home with us! Sounds silly, but I told my husband they are like a really cool Dr. Scholl’s option for my feet. 😆

ACCESSORIES
High on my wishlist for this year is this adorable necklace with olive branches - my son’s name is Oliver and I think this is just too sweet. I have also had this OrbitKey organizer on my wishlist for the past few years - I think their products are both practical and elegant. Also adding a few scarves for the winter seasons because I think they are always a great gift! And these bags are all adorable and each serve their own purpose - any of them would be a special gift this Christmas!

SELF-CARE
I think it’s safe to say that this year has been beyond crazy… and we could all use a little extra self-care! I’m really excited about this category for gift ideas, as I think there are some items here that a special lady in your life would really adore! I have a giant fuzzy bath robe and I always feel so special when wearing that. And you can never go wrong with some bubbles for your bath or a tray to hold your phone - or wine - during that self-care bath time. I have also included a few other of my favorite self-care items, some nail polish, makeup brushes, shaving cream and my favorite razor, as well as my favorite toothbrush!
ENTERTAINMENT
With the rise of TikTok, what better gift this year for someone’s stocking than this adorable little cell phone selfie light?? I snagged this from a sale bin at Target the other day and just love it. I also got these phone cases from Amazon for a great deal and love the quality - my little man keeps chewing on the case and hasn’t ruined it (yet!). I’m also including some AirPods and an adorable case, along with a bluetooth speaker (a slight upgrade to the one I have in my kitchen) and a Google Home Mini. And I just had to include a quality record player with a favorite Christmas album - such a sweet and sentimental gift idea!

FOOD & DRINK
I love having useful tools in the kitchen. I came across these adorable black measuring cups and spoons (thanks, Joanna Gaines!) and immediately had to add them to my list! (Also thanks to my husband for breaking the other set, so I had a reason to put them on the list - haha.) I also have been eyeing this beautiful knife set, as I desperately need some new small knives. And can you ever have too many options for mugs for coffee and tea?! I have this set of gold bakeware and absolutely love it - along with this gorgeous pistachio green Kitchenaid mixer that I received for my birthday a few years ago. Does anyone else feel like they are constantly living in a nightmare of disorganization when it comes to your plastic container lids?! I really want to try these storage options, so I just had to add them to the wishlist this year. And finally - my absolute favorite tea for the holidays… it tastes like Christmas and pairs so well with cookies all season long!

FOR THE HOME
It’s no surprise that this category for the home has the most items on my wishlist for this Christmas season! Especially now that I am spending more time in our house - for work and being home with our son - I’m often thinking about items that could be useful and beautiful in our home! From candles, to floor mats or small rugs, to cozy blankets or comforters, I’m sure that any of these ideas would make a great gift for a lady on your list this year! I also added this super sweet Family Mission Statement art print that I think is so special and would make a great family gift. You’ll also see that I added some Replica Surfaces to my list for this year - might not be for everyone, but is something that I would love to have for blogging and especially for making and photographing recipes, since we live in a rental which is a good bit outdated visually.

READING
People are often asking me for opinions on books or devotionals, so it only seemed appropriate to make sure to include some of my favorite reads or authors on this gift guide! The majority of the books listed below are ones that I have on my current wishlist and would love to be reading in the coming months! Plus, my absolute favorite book of all time that has been the most life-changing (outside of the Bible) - Anonymous. If you haven’t heard of it, I would highly recommend that you look into it or snag it for someone special this year!

ENCOURAGEMENT
This year has brought with it some great discouragement, so what better way to say ‘Merry Christmas’ then with a gift that is uplifting or intentionally encouraging? I got these beautiful floral Bibles for each of my soul sisters (my best friends!) when they were in my wedding and often wish that I would have gotten one for myself as well. I also love these verse cards and there are so many different topics or categories to choose from. This prayer journal is geared specifically towards anxious hearts - how appropriate! And I love the idea of these simple post-it notes for Bible Study and this set of pens with encouraging words on them.
