Welcome to another Family Weekly Wrap-up! It's been a super busy week in our family - but with less childcare than usual, also felt less productive. We're just trying to survive the crazy heat and spend time outdoors in little spurts when we can.
Last weekend we had the chance to take Ollie man to his very first BASEBALL game! We love the Orioles and have really missed being able to go to some baseball games over the past few seasons, so we were really excited when Eric's parents invited us to join them for a Saturday night game. We originally weren't going to take Oliver since it was a night game, but changed our minds and decided to make it a family experience - and we're so glad that we did! It was so fun to see Eric get so much joy out of showing our son around his favorite baseball stadium.
For the word of God is living and effective
and sharper than any double-edged sword.
- Hebrews 4:12a
This is our first verse from our set of verse cards that we are going to try to memorize with Ollie! These verse cards are currently hanging above our dining table so that we can work on the memory verses during meal times.
How can our family be praying for you this week?
We won't be sharing your prayer requests anywhere other than inside of our home.
We would love to lift you up in prayer this week!
Send us your prayer requests!
we were eating a lot of leftovers this week or meals with family, so we only made one of the meals on the meal plan menu from this week. we tried the pineapple chicken recipe - and it was delicious! we switched a few things around when we made it and just did plain white rice instead of the coconut rice in the recipe, but it was still delicious!
Toddler Tower Kitchen Buddy
we've had this toddler tower for a long time, but just recently, Oliver has been very intentionally asking us to move it to the sink so he can “wash his hands” (ie, he just wants to play in the water) or beside the fridge so he can play with the toaster. while it requires more intentional oversight, we really do love having Oliver be able to “help” us wash dishes or prep dinner!
No-Spill Smoothie Cups
We have been using these awesome no-spill cups for Oliver a LOT this summer - they are perfect for smoothies, or fun Starbucks tea/lemonade combos for a special treat when we are on the go. The straw and lid designs are amazing for keeping the cup toddler friendly with the no-spill design, and also super easy to clean, which is important for this mama!
Hymns for a Mother's Heart Study
I grabbed this new study for myself since it was on sale for only $5 - I'm really excited to set aside some time for myself to focus each day on God's Word and store these hymns in my heart!
I also created this Spotify Playlist to listen to these hymns while I am going through this study (and honestly, to listen to any time that I need some encouragement for my heart!) - click on the image below to listen to this playlist!

I hosted a super impromptu and last-minute get-together dinner date with some of my girlfriends the other night, so I threw together a giant hearty charcuterie board, complemented by a side salad and caprese salad.
