April was such a fun month - we surprised our kids with a new puppy and have been spending a lot of time in our backyard adding flowers, building raised garden beds and a new shed, and creating a fun stone/dirt digging pit for the kids.
Keep reading to see my favorite finds for women, kids, and our home that we loved this month!
Favorite Finds from April 2024
Snackle Box
I got this snackle box for keeping snacks on hand for the kids during the day - it’s especially helpful when the kids are asking regularly for snacks all day long! It’s also great for travel and longer car rides, or packing for snacks at the park.
Wooden Tea Set
I got this wooden tea set for Ainsley as a part of her birthday decor, but also because I knew she would love playing with it - and I was right! She uses this tea set almost every day and loves to make tea for Mommy & Daddy and bring us cookies. It’s so cute & well made.
Pastel Highlighters
Sharing these pastel highlighters again - they are my favorite to use in my Bible when studying and I keep them in this beautiful leather pencil pouch. Easy to throw into my Bible Study bag and keep on hand near my Bible. The pastel colors are still rich and vibrant and don’t bleed through the thin pages of my Bible.
Custom Thank You Cards
After Ainsley’s birthday party, I wanted to send out Thank You cards to family who attended and gave gifts - I used Postable.com to make these adorable custom cards. It was so easy to upload my own photo into one of their existing templates and write a personalized message to each family member, put in their mailing address, and then once I had all of the cards ready to go and added to my cart, Postable.com did the rest of the work and printed the cards and envelopes and mailed them out for me! They have great options for thank you cards, party invitations, special occasions like Mother’s Day (hint hint!), and more!
Casserole Carrier
I used my casserole carrier again recently when taking a baked egg & hashbrown dish to Bible Study for breakfast (one of the best parts of our Wednesday morning women’s Bible Study at our church 😉). This carrier has two levels - the top zips shut when not in use or can unzip to expand and hold a second dish on the top tier. The bottom tier is thermally layered to keep your items hot or cold!
Off-Court Crocs
I’m not a huge Crocs fan, but did get a new pair after my foot surgery last fall and honestly, they are the perfect shoe to slip on and off when taking the puppy to the backyard to do her business! I especially love this updated “off-court” style that look a bit more slim and sneaker-like with the soles than traditional Crocs. Comes in several different colors for both men & women.
Beautiful Kitchen Mats
These stunning kitchen anti-fatigue mats were a gift to myself after several weeks of taking care of my sick family earlier this year. 😂 They are not cheap, but the quality is absolutely incredible and the designs are SO beautiful - they look like real rugs. So many sizes and styles to choose from.
Stain & Odor Remover
This stain & odor remover is a MUST-HAVE with a new puppy. I’m pretty sensitive to smells and a lot of times these odor removers have a strange lingering smell, but this one is actually pleasant and has a very “clean” smell.
Pink Playhouse
I’m currently on a mission to make our backyard as enjoyable as possible for my kiddos (while still on a budget) to be imaginative and really enjoy spending time outside. We have a small yard in the city, so a large swingset or tree house is not an option - but a playhouse and a stone/dirt digging pit are definitely reasonable! I had been browsing for playhouses on FB marketplace, but so many of them were not much less than buying new, so I opted for this fun BRIGHT pink playhouse (pink is currently the favorite color for both of my kiddos!).
Sour Grape Book
This book is so fun! I gave my kids the option to pick a new book for each at Target (pro tip: always check the app for the lowest price and have them price match their own website at checkout - books are almost ALWAYS cheaper on their app than in the store!). Ainsley was SET on this book and it is such a great reminder that it is no fun to be sour and hold a grudge all of the time! We also have The Smart Cookie book and will need to add to our collection over time, since both kids really enjoy these books!
Garden Tools
I’ve been spending a lot of time in the dirt this past month. I’m not much a gardener or a green thumb, but I’m trying my best to get some of my garden beds to show off some more color and vibrancy. And honestly, some pretty garden tools bring me an extra bit of joy. These mint-colored garden tools are also a great price!
Baby Bike
Ainsley got this bike for her 2nd birthday and she really loves it! Although to be honest, she’s already pretty much outgrown it since she is so tall. This bike is definitely geared towards 12-24 months and is a perfect balance bike or walker for a one-year-old!
